IDEF’23 will be held on July 25-28, 2023

IDEF’23, 16th International Defence Industry Fair will be organized on the dates between July 25-28, 2023, under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, hosted by Rebuplic of Türkiye Ministry of National Defence, supported by the Presidency of The Republic of Türkiye Defence Industry Agency, under the management and responsibility of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and organized by TÜYAP Fairs and Exhibitons Organization Inc. at TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center in İstanbul.

IDEF International Defence Industry Fair, which is one of the 4 largest defence industry fairs in the world and where International Defence Industry companies exhibit their products, received a passing grade in 2021 from visitors and exhibitors.

At the fair held in Istanbul in 2021, the opening was made by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 163 delegations and 614 delegation members from 81 countries and 2 international organizations were hosted. The fair was attended by 1 president, 1 Vice President of the Presidential Council, 1 Prime Minister, 1 Deputy Prime Minister, 24 Ministers, 14 Chiefs of General Staff, 2 Deputy Chiefs of General Staff, 25 Force Commanders, 11 Deputy Ministers, 1 Undersecretary and many civilian and military procurement authorities.

At IDEF’21 which hosted 1.238 companies from 53 countries, important commercial connections were established in meetings between local and foreign exhibitors and delegations and 4.055 scheduled meetings and stand visits and 94 signing ceremonies were held. The fair, which attracted great attention of visitors, was visited by 68.795 professionals from 94 countries.

The visitors and exhibitors’ interest will remain in the study conducted with the participants and visitors of the fair, the extent to which their expectations were met and their evaluations were taken.

Press members from many countries followed the fair, where domestic and foreign defence industry products were exhibited on an area of 120.000 sqr.

98% of the visitors stated that “they plan to visit the next fair”, 99% are “satisfied” and 90% “recommend the fair”.

95% of the participants would recommend “attending the fair again”, 90% of them would “recommend the business community”.
